We are thrilled to celebrate former MB&B undergrad and Breaker Lab researcher Hannah Barsouk, now a PhD student at Stanford University, who has been named a finalist for the 2026 Hertz Fellowships—the nation’s most competitive doctoral fellowship in applied sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
Selected from more than 1,450 applicants nationwide, Hannah is among just 54 finalists advancing to the final round of interviews for this prestigious award. The Hertz Fellowship provides up to five years of flexible funding to support PhD students pursuing transformative research, with a unique emphasis on innovation and impact.
