We are proud to congratulate Susan Baserga, William H. Fleming Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, who has been elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). She is one of five Yale affiliates named to the latest class of 449 AAAS Fellows, selected from academic institutions, labs, hospitals, and other organizations across a variety of disciplines. The AAAS noted Baserga’s “pioneering contributions to understanding the structure and biogenesis of the ribosome, and how abnormalities in the ribosome lead to disease.”
