First BBS Diversity Preview weekend hosts 9 promising students!

September 25, 2018

By Dahyana Arias Escayola: For the first time this year, BBS along with the Office of Graduate Student Development and Diversity hosted 9 promising undergraduates as part of Yale GSAS Diversity Preview Days. MBB students (Cathy Amaya, Nicolle Rosa-Mercado, and Robert W. Fernandez) and faculty (Enrique De La Cruz) worked hard throughout the year organizing the preview weekend and recruiting volunteers from multiple BBS departments and Yale student groups. Over the weekend, students learned about Yale’s BBS program, met with BBS faculty of their choice, and attended a graduate school application workshop. The goal of the Diversity Preview Days is to give “promising, highly qualified, prospective graduate students from diverse backgrounds and experiences” the opportunity to learn about graduate student life and encourage them to apply to Yale.
